In terms of the looks and design department, the TVS Apache lineup has always excelled in all its previous generations with eye-appealing design language. The all-new 2022 TVS Apache RTR 180 now gets more appealing design upgrades including new race-inspired graphics, a white back-lit speedometer with dial-art, a crash guard with integrated frame sliders, engine crash guard, forged handlebar end weights, and new Alcantara finish seats with red stitching.

Keeping all the cosmetical changes apart, the new Apache RTR 180 continues with the same engine specifications powered by a fuel-injected 177.4 cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke engine that churns out 16.56 bhp of power at 8500rpm and 15.5Nm of torque at 6500rpm. Combining all these specifications, the new TVS Apache RTR 180 can achieve speeds up to 125 kmph with the help of a 5-speed manual transmission and an oil-cooled engine. However, TVS has made massive improvements to the 177.4 cc powerplant, due to which the new apache 180 2v feels very nimble to ride as compared to the previous generation Apache RTR 180 that used to come with an air-cooled and carburetor engine assembly. Also, the manufacturer has slightly increased Apache RTR 180 on road price for accessing your hands on the all-new TVS Apache RTR 180.

As we all know that the previous generation Apache’s used to vibrate a lot, well it’s not the same in the new 2022 TVS Apache RTR 180. The new Apache 180 2V has improved a lot in its race ergonomics and handling. Although the suspension setup has remained the same, telescopic forks at the front and monotube inverted gas-filled dual shock (MIG) absorbers at the rear. The clip-on handlebars offer a firm grasp and provide a decent hold of the motorcycle along with slightly rear-set foot-pegs to help to experience a sporty riding stance with knees collapsed around its fuel tank. The motor has now been much more refined compared to the previous generation TVS Apache RTR 180 with the addition of a fuel-injected, oil-cooled engine setup that comes with GTT (Glide Through Technology). The acceleration from the motor now feels much more responsive and crisp, however, vibrations do sneak in at high revs. According to our review, one thing that annoys the buyer is the Apache RTR 180 price tag is slightly on the higher side as compared to its in-house rivalry the TVS Apache RTR 160 4v, which is a better option to consider rather than paying Apache RTR 180 on road price, that’s no different from the RTR 160 4V price tag.

The new 2022 TVS Apache RTR 180 hasn’t improved a lot but has improved enough to again rule the most selling 180cc segment in India and maintain the same colossal fan base amongst youngsters and bike enthusiasts. Following the Indian market, the 2022 TVS Apache RTR 180 still has many entry-level competitors if we keep the Bajaj Pulsar 180 apart such as Hero Xtreme 160R, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Bajaj Pulsar NS 160, Honda Xblade, Yamaha FZS, and Suzuki Gixxer.
