When we talk about looks on the Xtreme 200S, it’s tail section is exactly the same LED setup that we see on its naked sibling the Xtreme 200R. Although Xtreme 200S is a full faired sports bike which gets new sharp body fairings and a new exhaust along with Dual LED Headlamps which makes the Xtreme 200S look a bit more appealing from the front. When we talk about its overall design, even after being a fully faired sports bike this bike is not meant for the track. Xtreme 200S gets the same seating positing as we see on the Xtreme 200R which makes it more of a sports commuter rather being a supersport like the Yamaha R15 and KTM RC 200.

Xtreme 200S gets the same 199.6cc air-cooled single cylinder engine underneath that we see on the Xtreme 200R which produces 18.4PS of power at 8000 rpm and 17.1Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. All that power spins the rear wheel via a 5-speed chain driven transmission.
Due to the addition of new full-body fairings, the Xtreme 200S really handles well. Although the motor slightly vibrates at higher revs. Ride quality on the bike on Indian roads is very plush due to the presence of telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear.

Hero has done a great job in the 200 cc segment amid the following years by introducing the Xtreme 200R and now introducing a fully faired version of the same bike with some exciting new elements added like the single channel ABS and Bluetooth smartphone connectivity with navigation. And due to these newly added features, the new Hero Xtreme 200S will face a serious competition against Suzuki Gixxer SF, Bajaj Pulsar NS200, TVS Apache RTR200 4V, Yamaha Fazer and Hero’s very own Xtreme 200R. Truth to be told, Hero Xtreme 200S is just a fully faired Xtreme 200R along with some extra features on the note.
