For people who need more of a road going bike rather than a true adventure off-roader, Hero has launched its Hero Xpulse 200T which a tamed and precise road-going version of Hero Xpulse 200. As already mentioned before that Hero Xpulse 200T is a road-going bike; you’ll get to see retro classic Hero styling on the bike including round LED Headlamps and sport commuter ergonomics. You’ll also get to see a flat one-piece handlebar and LED Taillamps precisely the same available on the Xpulse 200. Things which make Hero Xpulse 200T different from Xpulse 200 are the alloy wheels, and radial tyres, the ground clearance and seat height are also adjusted at a very low position, making it comfortable for shorter riders.

Powering up the Hero Xpulse 200T is a 199.6 cc single-cylinder, 2-valve, air-cooled engine which churns out 18.4 bhp at 8,000rpm and 17.1 Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. All that power goes down to the rear wheel via 5-speed chain driven gearbox.

As far as handling is concerned, Hero Xpulse 200T handles quite well on the twisties and straight roads. To make the Hero Xpulse 200T feel more comfortable on high speeds and bumpy roads, it comes equipped with telescopic forks at the front and shorter suspension travel with a 7-step preload adjustable monoshock at the rear. Apart from all that, rider ergonomics have also been set on the comfortable side. And to bring all that power to a stop, Hero Xpulse 200T also comes equipped with a single channel ABS unit.

Even after being built on the same platform from which Hero Xtreme 200R comes in, Hero Xpulse 200T is far more different than its other 200cc siblings. Hero Xpulse 200T is more of a retro-styled touring bike, and the best part is the instrument cluster which gets smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth and turn-by-turn navigation. Unfortunately, Xpulse 200T has no other off-road rivals in its segment, but if compared with other 200cc segment bikes, Xpulse still faces a very tough competition against KTM Duke 125, KTM Duke 200, TVS Apache RTR200 4V, Pulsar 200NS, Yamaha MT-15 and 150 cc bikes such as Suzuki Gixxer and Yamaha FZ.
